It is 13 days of unforgettable experiences and reversible wonders, with Uganda’s unmatched attractions, activities, accommodation options and weather.

You will visit Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Batwa pygmies, chimpanzees at Kibale forest national park, Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park, tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth national park, Birds and hot springs in Semuliki national park and the antelopes in Lake Mburo national park. Pickup and drop-off at Entebbe international airport.

Detailed 13 Days Uganda Adventure Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

All set for the adventure, you will meet our driver guide for the comment of the trip, at either the airport or Kampala; Uganda’s capital. You will be briefed about the entire trip, before departing for Lake Mburo; home to a large concentration of antelope species. The drive lasts for roughly 4 hours. Your Lunch will be at Igongo cultural center, where you will enjoy some cultural vibes, before calling it a day at the lodge with dinner and a lovely nap.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise

After a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head for a remarkable 3-4-hour game drive; looking out for the antelope species, such as the Impalas, Oribis, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and elephants among others.

Afterwards you will have a lunch break, and then an afternoon 2-hour boat cruise, while encountering the crocodiles, hippos, several bird species and mammals. Retire at sunset with dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Kick start this day with a warm breakfast meal, and the checkout for a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park; home to the sought – after mountain gorillas, only found in the continent of Africa. The drive offers amazing views of the landscape, plantations and several others; and also a lunch stopover. Late arrival at the lodge in the sector of your choice for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies encounter

After a morning cup of coffee, you will depart the lodge for the sector headquarters for a 30-minute pre-trek briefing and document verification. Depending on your trekking speed and the distance the creatures have taken, you will need roughly 1-6 hours to meet your “relatives”, and then one more hour to watch them play, interact and feed.

Thereafter you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then an evening Batwa pygmies encounter; reportedly the shortest people in the country. Their stories, appearance, songs, and outfit makes your evening exciting, before returning to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 5: Transfer to Ishasha sector – Tree climbing lion exploration

Have breakfast at your lodge overlooking the mystic Bwindi forest, after which you will checkout for the Ishasha sector, located south of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will have an early lunch, and then spend the evening hours tracking the tree climbing lions; with hopes of spotting one or more on the tree branches.  This 5th day climaxes with relaxation at your lodge in central region of the park.

Day 7: Game drive and Transfer to Semuliki national park – night game drive

At day crack, breakfast is served, followed by a two to three-hour game drive, before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Semuliki national park – a 2/3 hours’ drive. You will have a lunch and refreshments, as the sunset game drive arrives; with the quest for the different nocturnal creatures and hunters; such as the lions, hippos and hyenas among others. Afterwards you will return to the lodge for dinner and a nap. 

Day 8: Bird watching and sightseeing

After summing up the first meal of the day, you will start and the day with the images of several birds, and different attractions around the park. For the first four hours of the day; you will be identifying the over 450 bird species found in the forest of Semuliki; hopefully spot the turacos, cranes, shoebill stock, egrets, lovebirds, and seral others, singing, feeding or resting.

The guide and birders book gets to help you identify the birds by name, body size, color, and sound. Thereafter comes a lunch break, before spending the evening at the Sempaya hot, with water able to boil an egg.  You will return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

At daybreak, the intestines will be happy for receiving a lip-smacking breakfast meal, thereafter checkout for a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park; with great views of the backdrop of the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori and flourishing plantations.

You will have lunch at the lodge in the park but then refresh as dinner and overnight end the day.

Day 10: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk

After breakfast, you will depart the lodge for the park headquarters for registration a pre trekking briefing; the first activity; with the trekking rules laid down. Chimps are man’s closes relatives, sharing roughly 98.7% human DNA, with exciting sound and behavior.

Chimpanzee trekking lasts for roughly 1-6 hours, plus an additional one hour for photos, and then you can return for lunch and a little refreshment. Thereafter there will be a visit to Bigodi swamp; one of the Ramsar sites in the country to watch more primates, birds, and the local natives carrying on with their daily chores. End the day at the lodge with dinner and a nap.

Day 11: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Today; you will great your intestines with a hefty breakfast meal, and then check out of the lodge for a transfer to Murchison fall national park; the oldest and the largest national park in Uganda; with the most powerful waterfall on earth. Lunch will be en route to the park, whereas dinner at sunset.

Day 12: Game drive and Boat cruise

Just as breakfast meal gets done, so will you depart the lodge to encounter the birds, mammals and reptiles in northern sector of the park as they feed, rest or hunt. The game drive time is about 3-4 hours; enough on a lucky day to encounter several mammals; notably; lions, leopards, elephants, several antelope species, and cheetahs among others.

Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by a 2-3hour cruise lunch to the bottom of the falls. What follows arrival at the bottom are the water roars, sights of the Nile crocodiles, and aquatic birds among others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 13: Departure

Depending on your flight time, there will be a sunrise guided nature walk, followed by breakfast, after which you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to the airport. En route, there will be a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for one-hour trekking, followed by lunch.
