This 13 Days Classic Uganda Safari with Primates & Game Viewing is a remarkable package leading to the popular tourist destinations in Uganda such as Murchison falls, Bwindi Impenetrable, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale Forest and Lake Mburo National Parks as well as Lake Bunyonyi and Jinja for a wide range of activities that include gorilla trekking, game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, boat cruises, adrenaline-packed activities like Bungee Jumping and many others.

Detailed 13 Days Uganda Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer

Meet our representative on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to a Hotel in Kampala.  Dependent on time of arrival, you might undertake a brief tour of Kampala City and this will see you visit the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Bahai Temple, Uganda National Museum, Kasubi Royal Tombs, and a shopping spree at the Crafts market along Buganda road.

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park, north-western Uganda

Breakfast by 06h30 and departure to Murchison Falls National Park by 07h00 with 6-7 hours’ drive through several small Towns, roadside markets and make a stop at the Town of Masindi for Lunch then continue to the Park.

Arrive and check-in at a Lodge then continue for the hike to the top of the falls. A delicious dinner and overnight at one of the Safari lodges or Tented Camps overlooking the Nile River.

Day 3: Full day game drives in Murchison Falls National Park

Before sunrise head for a half day game drive through the National Park after having an early breakfast. Some of the wildlife to expect during this 3-4 hours’ game drive are Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, Lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Rothschild Giraffes, Defassa waterbucks, leopards, Topis, Oribis and a plethora of Savannah grassland and woodland birds among others.

An amazing spectacle of nature to behold! Retire from this activity to have Lunch then in the afternoon be treated to another wildlife/bird encounter through boat cruises on the calm River Nile waters. While here, expect to see the highest concentration of Hippos and Nile crocodiles at a short distance from the boat as well as several bird species roaming the surrounding wetland, in the waters and flying in the sky.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After an amazing breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park via the beautiful City of Fort Portal where you will have a Lunch break before continuing to your booked Lodge for dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest & drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast at the lodge, head for registration and briefing at Kibale Forest National Park headquarters. Kibale Forest National Park is famous for its highest concentration and diversity of primate species in the African continent. A park ranger guide will brief you on the dos and don’ts of trekking these primates and also be on hand to take you through the trek through the forest to search for the habituated chimpanzee troop.

After your time with the chimpanzees return to the Lodge for lunch then be taken to the Crater Lake Region to see some of the beautiful Crater Lakes in western Uganda after which you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise

Have breakfast at the lodge, after which continue for a morning game drive through the sweeping savannah plains of Kasenyi area, in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Some of the must-see wildlife species during this game drive are large herds of Uganda Kobs, Bush elephants, warthogs, Cape buffalos, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, bush duikers, bushbucks, prides of lions, giant forest hogs, olive baboons, and leopards among others.

In the afternoon your safari guide will drive you to the Mweya jetty, on the banks of the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward and Lake George for an opportunity to see different wildlife species that include hippos, Nile crocodiles and a number of bird species. Your evening will be spent relaxing at the Lodge, then dinner and overnight stay at the same Lodge as the previous night.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have a leisurely breakfast and begin your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the remaining habitats for the endangered mountain Gorillas. Drive towards the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park, for a brief game drive that will luckily introduce you to the tree-climbing lions.

Continue with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a lunch break at Savannah Resort Kihihi then arrive this destination in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Begin your Gorilla trekking day with breakfast at the Lodge then assemble at the Park Headquarters for briefing. From 8:00am begin the trek that takes you through the densely forested Bwindi as you search for mountain gorillas to observe their outstanding behavior in their natural environment.

Trekking time is greatly unpredictable but normally takes half an hour to half a day, depending on location of the allocated gorilla group. After successfully trekking for the Mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them after which you enjoy your packed Lunch. Later get back to the Park Headquarters to find your driver and depart for Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Full day Lake Bunyonyi leisure

Have breakfast at your place of stay prior to kicking off your Lake Bunyonyi expedition. Lake Bunyonyi tours include amazing tourist activities such as boat rides, cycling, birding tours, guided nature walk, or canoeing on the Lake. In the morning undertake a boat ride to explore the top of the numerous beautiful Islands on the lake.

In the afternoon there will be a guided village tour for community birding and interaction with locals about their unique ways of life, then dinner and overnight stay at a designated lodge.

Day 10: Drive from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park

Have an early morning breakfast in preparation for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah National Park in the country but home to some of the rare wildlife species such as Burchell’s zebras, Defassa waterbucks, common elands, Rothschild giraffes, impalas and many others.

You will be served Lunch on arrival and in the afternoon undertake a boat ride on Lake Mburo.

Day 11: Transfer to Jinja, via Kampala

Have an early breakfast and undertake a short game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, where different wonderful species of wildlife such as common elands, warthogs, Impalas, Topis, vervet monkeys, spotted hyenas, Defassa waterbucks, Olive baboons, Cape buffaloes, Oribis, leopards and many others. Exit Lake Mburo National Park and embark on your drive to Jinja, via Kampala City. Lunch en-route while your dinner and overnight stay in Jinja.

Day 12: Full day Jinja Tour

 Jinja is popular for being the Adventure Capital of East Africa with some of the tourist activities here being boat trips to the source of the River Nile, Quad bike safaris along the banks of the River Nile, Horseback rides, bungee jumping, whitewater rafting on the River Nile and biking tours For your full day Jinja tour, you will participate in at least three of these activities, spend return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Back to Entebbe & departure

Break starts off your day and later drive back to Kampala City, then Entebbe International Airport for your departure flights. This marks the end of your 13 days Limitless Uganda Safari.
