Detailed 3 Days Akagera Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda & drive to Akagera National Park
When you arrive Rwanda, be picked up from the Airport of Kigali for a two-hour’ drive to Akagera National Park, within the Eastern part of the country. First, have a short City excursion before embarking on the journey to Rwanda’s only savannah National Park. Be transferred to the booked Lodge for Lunch and then undertake a boat ride on Lake Ihema. After this boat ride retire at your place of stay for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Whole day Game Drive within Akagera National Park
The second day of the safari calls for a hefty breakfast before sunrise prior to embarking on the game drive through the Northern part of Akagera National Park. The game drive lasts 3-4 hours and ends just on-time to allow you have Lunch at the Lodge or picnic Lunch in the middle of the wilderness.
The rest of the day will be spend driving through the southern part of the Park with sights of Rhinos, Topis, side-striped Jackals, black and white colobus monkeys, lions, Oribis, Cape buffaloes, Kobs, serval cats, common elands, Cape buffaloes, leopards, vervet monkeys, Rothschild giraffes, elephants, warthogs, olive baboons, Defassa waterbucks and several other attractions. Take a break from the game drive at sunset to have dinner and overnight stay at your booked Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Last Game drive and return to Kigali City
On this day we patch-up our game drive through Akagera National Park, with breakfast and 2 hours’ wildlife viewing experience. Later check-out of your Lodge and return back to Kigali City for Lunch and drop-off at Kigali International Airport for flight to your next destination. This marks the end of your 3 days Akagera Wildlife Safari.
